Brent, class isn't something you cut - but obviously you did and is something you lack sorely. Although this is not a HLB topic, I will retire it with these comments. The new Coaches Poll puts Texas at #8 in the nation and Ohio State, rightfully so, at #1. Where a bunch of bulked-up surfer dudes or kids in green & gold are ranked at this point doesn't mean much. Only the final BCS poll really matters. But, you know, how you lose speaks volumes about you & your program. Unlike Matt Whine-Heart after the Rose Bowl, the kids and coaches from Texas didn't make excuses after they lost to the best team in the country. Hey, unlike a certain HLB owner, at least Whine-Heart had something congratulatory to say after his team lost. To be honest, what a bunch of Wuss Boyz from the University of Spoiled Conservatives or anyone opines is irrelevant. What matters is what happens on the field, whether it's the gridiron or the HLB diamond. But for crying out loud, quit acting like an Aggie instead of a birth control device and have some class. If you're going to talk smack, don't strike out - have the balls to use your own name instead of that of some lame-ass announcer. Have the brains to talk it at the right time, too, such as the next time your school wins the national championship or when you win your next HLB game. At least one could take a while - unless you're an OSU fan. Until then, Hook'em!

It's not that this will set back my chances to beat Barry's single-season home run record or Hack Wilson's season RBI record. What really sucks is I go on the DL just when I was looking so forward to jacking a few out to help NSB kick the crap out of the Boyz this week. But that's OK. NSB should still wipe the floor with those clowns even with Mike Lamb filling in for me. After all, everyone knows that this contest is really more about brains than brawn anyway.

And I don't know how this is possible. Haven't fielded a decent lineup all year due to injuries but I'll savor this nice cushion because I'll need it. Scary....Piazza hasn't gone on the DL yet....

4 consecutive losses a dry spell? Spell this: N-o-s-e-d-i-v-e. Now that I've plummeted into a crowded tie for third and can see the bottom of the barrel (hey, isn't that Darren down there?), I'm really not very optimistic. What a waste to have Pujols giving his all for nothing as far as NSB goes.

My players never had a chance to get on a steriod high after you look at the stats after game 10. Unless the players start hitting or injecting something in their rear-end, my team may soon join the pack. Remember, HLB is a drug free league as long as you keep it to yourself....

Another game with multiple errors, mediocre pitching, and anemic hitting that makes my guys look as though they're crashing from a serious steroid high (not to mention the Keystone Kops). Sad when what's in your rear view mirror looks better than what's ahead.

That must be the reason why FON is in first so far without their 1st round pick playing. Then again, it only seems fair after last year miserable season. Only 2 teams above .500 so far...should be interesting.

Losing a close one to FON - but then I saw Phat Boyz lost big even though Flipper didn't have a SP going. That made me feel much much better. Sometimes losing isn't everything.

The DL hasn't hurt FON that much. He's come out on top in some close games. NSB has had a little help from opponents, too, but has been helped by some good pickups.

Had a glitch with my team...namely bad pitching and no hitting. You would think that's still good enough to beat Boyz but guess not....look out everyone, the Henchmen had a slow start last year and guess who won it all? Actually, I think the Henchmen lost their first 5???

I only picked up Griffey so I could win the DL race this year. He almost did it for me Wednesday but against his better judgement, he decided to come out instead with a stiff knee. Oh well. Glad there's a player out there to still make me feel young.
